Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering

Biography

I got introduced to spheroid and organoid technology by my labmate and immediately got drawn into this field! The idea of developing miniaturized versions of liver, lung, kidney, intestine, and other vital innards in the lab makes me excited! I am fascinated by and passionate about the techniques that researchers apply to alter the cellular microenvironment of spheroids/organoids. That is why my project has focused on engineering the culture condition with biomaterials to keep cells happy and functional! I aim to generate healthy and cancerous liver cell aggregates with enhanced viability and functionality for drug toxicity screening. Besides research, I love to travel, do things I’ve never done before, meet new people, eat different kinds of food, and experience different cultures.
