Biography

Andrew McClain obtained a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering centered on Tissues and Materials Engineering from the University of Akron in May, 2015. Andrew is currently pursuing his PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Akron since May, 2015. He is co-advised by two professors in the Chemical Engineering department, Dr. Judit Puskas and Dr. Nic Leipzig. He is currently studying the biological response to electrospun fiber mats of Polyisobutylene based thermoplastic elastomers for uses in the biomedical industry. He is a current member of ACS Rubber Division.
